Complete Boulevards L.A.

Complete Streets LA redesigns major boulevards of Los Angeles to facilitate multi-modal transportation and to create a richer urban life experience. Key elements of the design include dedicated bus rapid transit lanes, bike lanes, curb bump-outs, mid-block cross-walks, and planted medians. The project will convert four existing boulevards into two pairs of one-way boulevards that each feature new Metro bus rapid transit routes. Some of the goals of the project are to increase transit ridership, decrease commute time for existing transit users, increase the number of bike commuters, allow for increased density of future development, and to generally increase the quality of life for people who live on and around these boulevards.
